A week in Chicago has changed me
Hello, old friend
Last week, I was in Chicago at Podcast Movement Evolutions. I had so much fun that I forgot to send out a newsletter—my bad!
I hosted a roundtable to talk to early-stage podcasters about thriving without a huge corporate network. I joined another roundtable to chat about AI and how it’s not here to replace you as a creative/podcaster.
Speaking was amazing! I never get tired of being in front of a crowd. It’s so weird; I’m always so nervous leading up to a speaking gig, but as soon as the mic is in my hands, I black out (in a good way). It’s always like an out-of-body experience because I blink, and it’s over. I know what Beyonce meant when she talked about her alter ego, Sasha Fierce. When you’re meant to do something, you almost float through it. Does that make sense?
Anyway
The most transformative moment from Podcast Movement Evolutions wasn’t my speaking gigs, though. It was actually a panel that I watched with a bunch of Reality TV Recap podcasters. I met the Reality Gays, Amy Phillips (Drama, Darling), The DocuSweeties & Dana from Daily Dose of Dana. I spoke with them all after the panel, and even got to attend Amy’s live Drama, Darling show!
If you know me, you know I watch a sh*t ton of TV. You also know that I talk about it on social media occasionally, and I also co-created and executive produced Reality with The King (SiriusXM) and the 90 Day: Last Resort Letters (TLC/Warner Bros.) podcast. I live for TV, basically.
The panel was transformative because it unlocked something in me. I feel the most clear about my future than I have in a very long time, and I will be making some announcements. My biggest ask yet is coming soon.
My Ask For You:
If your future became crystal clear today, would you be ready to go balls to the wall?
If you’re already going balls to the wall (I’m sorry, it's funny, lmao) - when was the moment everything became clear to you?
See y’all next Friday,
